RDN says proposed bylaws will help region reach target of 90 per cent waste diversion

The RDN is gathering feedback on its Get Involved project page. It will host public webinars on Aug. 19 and Sept. 9 at 10 a.m., as well as private presentations for interested groups.

Nanaimo set to approve bylaw to ban plastic shopping bags

The province approved four communities for bylaws to ban single-use plastic bags and declared Feb. 15 as plastic pollution awareness day.
