Police responded to a shots fired complaint around 6:40 a.m. this morning (Jan. 17).
Not long after the shooting, a vehicle was discovered on fire several blocks away.
The two suspects, both known to police, were arrested after being pulled over on Nicol Street and were later released with charges pending.
“When the RCMP, who are meant to protect us, are the ones shooting us, we are in real trouble,” said Mariah Charleson, vice president of the Nuu-chah-nulth.
