Alarms at Coal Tyee Elementary, Forest Park Elementary and Departure Bay Elementary were activated between 2:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Feb. 14.
Students contemplating the next step in their post-secondary careers can drop in to Vancouver Island University’s (VIU) virtual Graduate Programs Expo on Jan. 19.
Kari and Steve Knutson said they came up with the idea three years ago when they were trying to think of a way to give back to their community.
The BC Training & Education Savings Grant is a $1,200 one-time grant available to children between the ages of 6-9. If it is not claimed by the time each child turns nine, the grant is no longer available.
The date of exposure is April 22 — the school district said it learned of the case on April 28.
The potential exposure dates are March 31 and April 1, according to a release from the school district.
Peter Jory will replace Dr. Keven Elder as superintendent of schools and chief executive officer. Jory’s appointment coincides with Elder retiring and he will assume his new role on August first this year.
It will replace the previous building, which was lost in a fire in August 2018.
