Oceanside RCMP have released video of what appears to be a man assaulting a woman outside of a Parksville business.
RCMP are asking people to be on the lookout for a man, recently charged with several sexual offences, on the run with his two daughters.
Motorists can expect to see a heightened police presence targeting impaired drivers throughout the month of December.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP said it received 308 complaints, including a stolen Alberta license plate, a porch pirate and two downriggers stolen from Errington.  
The Lifesaving Society of Canada designates this week National Drowning Prevention Week to bring attention to drownings and drowning prevention.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP said it received 326 complaints, including industrial lawn mowers and trimmer found on Church Road in Parksville.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP said it received 294 complaints, including nighttime prowlers and stolen license plates.
RCMP Forensics specialists from Port Alberni attended to examine the scene and police believe the deaths to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing risk to the public.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP said it received 336 complaints, including $15,000 in damages to an electrical sub-station in Qualicum Beach where about ten feet of copper wire was stolen.
A Lake Cowichan officer pulled the suspect over, who was driving a stolen truck. The officer entered the passenger side of the truck to arrest the driver, but the man fled on foot.
