“In 2021, we distributed $13,450 in funding for 35 local projects. Projects were amazingly diverse, ranging from delivering care packages for hospital stays and shoreline and community clean up, to meditation, quilting and curling programs,” said Len Townsend, PQCF chairperson.
The grants are meant to build community and strengthen local connections, according to Parksville-Qualicum Community Foundation (PQCF).
The Oceanside Community Track fundraiser is one project being supported by the grants.
