Omicron

The local health area reported 115 cases between Jan. 2 and 8, smashing the previous record of 72 from the week before.
BC Ferries is warning customers that a combination of issues, including the Omicron variant of COVID-19, could result in unplanned service disruptions on its routes in the coming months.
The decision was made in response to the latest provincial public health orders which resulted in New Year’s Eve events being cancelled.
