One person is dead after a vehicle drove off the road at the Exit 51 offramp to Parksville late yesterday evening (Sept. 24).
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP said it received 301 complaints, including 12 totes of hand tools stolen from a storage locker in Bowser.
RCMP continue to investigate and charges under the Motor Vehicle Act are being considered, according to police.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP said it received 321 complaints, including election signs vandalized in Parksville and Nanoose.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP said it received 270 complaints, including a telephone fraud by a person posing as a Telus employee.
The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit (VIIMCU) is asking for public assistance as it investigates a homicide that occurred earlier this week in Bowser.
Police say Luciano Mariani, 43, of no fixed address, has been charged in connection with the death of a woman in Bowser.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP said it received 302 complaints, including a tire stolen from a parked vehicle in Parksville.
The BC Coroners Service is also conducting an investigation into the unexpected death, RCMP said.
The 25-year-old man was released on bail with a number of conditions pending further court appearances, according to police.
