The museum will highlight places of historic significance throughout the province, celebrating the heritage of Chinese Canadians in B.C. 
The museum welcomed over 2,800 visitors and added new exterior signage to help visitors navigate their way around the grounds.
A Nanaimo Military Museum volunteer was assaulted over the weekend after asking a group of people to clear space on a public walkway.
