Voters will be able to cast a ballot between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. at Parksville Community Centre (132 Jensen Avenue East) and Parksville Fellowship Baptist Church.
Council voted in favour of Coun. Teresa Patterson’s motion to make the declaration. The motion also endorsed the concept of minimal lawn mowing in May for residential yards in the city.
Parksville’s mayor has proclaimed Feb. 14–20 Chamber of Commerce week.
The city said it encourages residents to drop by City Hall’s administration department, on a first-come, first-served basis to talk with the mayor about ideas, concerns or suggestions.
Vancouver Island was ranked by BC Business as the most resilient region in B.C. and six island communities made the top 10 — including Langford at the top.
The 15 minute virtual chats can be booked between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on March 4 or March 18.
