The volunteers recorded 31 distracted drivers, including nine on their cell phones, out of 2,852 vehicles encountered.
The horse, named Sumac, reportedly went missing from a property in the 1900 block of Grafton Avenue the night of Feb. 15.
The Official Community Plan (OCP) sets out the community’s vision for the future and includes objectives and policies to help achieve that vision.
The study will encompass the communities of Coombs, Hilliers, Errington, Whiskey Creek, Meadowood and surrounding areas.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 234 complaints, including reports of catalytic converters stolen in Qualicum Beach, Parksville and Errington.
The city, working with neighbouring fire departments in Qualicum Beach, Errington, Coombs-Hilliers, Bow Horn Bay, Dashwood and Nanoose, is registered in the Canadian Fire Insurance Grading index as being accredited for delivery of this service.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 224 complaints, including a report of a vandalized public washroom in Parksville Community Park.
The most recent service interruption was today (Dec. 30), affecting residents in Errington (Electoral Area F) and the Town of Qualicum Beach.
Errington Volunteer Fire Department (EVFD) hopes to add a valuable new tool to its emergency response operations.
There will be no door-to-door collection due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some fire departments will accept donations at their halls on Nov. 20 and 21.
