During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 260 complaints, including reports of Canada Post boxes being vandalized in Parksville, Nanoose Bay, Qualicum Beach and French Creek. It is unknown how much, if any, mail was stolen.
The volunteers recorded 31 distracted drivers, including nine on their cell phones, out of 2,852 vehicles encountered.
Three pieces of art were stolen during a break and enter to an art gallery in Coombs.
The Official Community Plan (OCP) sets out the community’s vision for the future and includes objectives and policies to help achieve that vision.
The study will encompass the communities of Coombs, Hilliers, Errington, Whiskey Creek, Meadowood and surrounding areas.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 234 complaints, including reports of catalytic converters stolen in Qualicum Beach, Parksville and Errington.
Here are some of the most prominent and impactful stories we reported on in 2021 (in no particular order).
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 245 complaints, including an ornamental iron gate stolen from a property in Coombs.
“He knocked most of it down with the garden hose — we got there and did the rest for him,” said Errington Fire Chief Troy Bater.
Two people are in hospital after a vehicle turning left onto Highway 4 collided with a motorcyclist, according to the Vancouver Island Highway Patrol unit of the RCMP.
