“There were many who are opposed and I don’t know whether there’s many who support it. I don’t know because you didn’t see to that,” said Director Leanne Salter, who indicated she is not satisfied with the proposed cell tower location’s consultation process.
“We are conspiracy historians — we are not theorists, we know they are not theories. They have been in play for a long time, planned for a long time and we do our research,” said Jay Corden from Nanaimo.
The Regional District of Nanaimo’s electoral area services committee carried a motion to support construction of the tower at 210 Cochrane Road at its June 7 meeting.
