A resident was scammed out of over $30,000 after responding to a Microsoft virus pop up and allowing remote access to their computer on March 28.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 255 complaints, including a potted Bonsai tree reported stolen in the 400 block of Yambury Road, Qualicum Beach.
During this time period Oceanside RCMP received 226 complaints, including a boat and trailer stolen, and later recovered by RCMP, in Parksville.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 190 complaints, including $6,000 in damages to seven windows of a Parksville school.
Three pieces of art were stolen during a break and enter to an art gallery in Coombs.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 224 complaints, including break and enter incidents reported in Deep Bay, Errington, Parksville and Qualicum Beach.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 214 complaints, including illegal log harvesting reported on private land.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 233 complaints, including a business break and enter in Coombs.
Alarms at Coal Tyee Elementary, Forest Park Elementary and Departure Bay Elementary were activated between 2:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. on Feb. 14.
During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 213 complaints, including two excavators reported vandalized in Whiskey Creek.
