Island Health reported five new cases of COVID-19 today. There were 274 new cases of the virus, but no deaths, across the province in the past 24-hours. B.C.’s first school outbreak was announced today by Dr. Bonnie Henry, provincial health officer.

Island Health reported no new cases of COVID-19 today. There were 203 new cases and two deaths reported across the province, according to a joint statement from Dr. Bonnie Henry, provincial health officer and Stephen Brown, deputy minister of health.

Vancouver Island reports one new case of COVID-19

Vancouver Island reported one new case of COVID-19 and across the province there were 167 new cases, according to a joint statement from Dr. Bonnie Henry, provincial health officer and Stephen Brown, deputy minister of health.

Fatal overdose numbers decrease in B.C., but remain higher than 2019

There were 127 illicit drug overdose deaths across B.C. last month, according to a report from the B.C. Coroners Service. That number is a slight decrease from last month, but more than double the number from this time last year. Last month an average of four people died every day from an overdose in this province.
