Nanaimo RCMP are hoping to reunite a lost bag of gifts with its owner.

The bag, containing wrapped gifts, was found in the Beban Park Recreation Centre parking lot around 1 p.m. on Feb. 26 and turned in to police the same day, according to a Nanaimo RCMP media release.

The Paw Patrol gift bag contained several small wrapped gifts, one of which was partially torn open to reveal a child’s toy, according to police.

“The gifts were most likely intended for a child’s birthday party and for unknown reasons, it ended up being left in the parking lot. The bag and contents were in good shape so they most likely had only been in the parking lot for a short period of time,” said Const. Gary O’Brien.

Anyone with information about the gift bag can call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file #2022-5709.
