Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help locating a man missing since the start of the year.

Dylan McKay, 28, has not had contact with his immediate family since Jan. 1, according to a Nanaimo RCMP media release. This behaviour is out of character and his family and friends are concerned for him. McKay was reported missing to police on Feb. 12.

McKay has no cell phone and is currently of no fixed address, police said. He is described as an outdoorsman who spends much of his time living in tents and open spaces. He frequents Nanaimo, Gabriola Island and Valdes Island. The above picture is recent.

McKay is 5ft. 10, 170 lbs with brown hair, a beard and brown eyes. Anyone with information on his location can contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file #2022-4933.
