Police are looking for a 21-year-old riding horse that went missing from a property in Errington.

The horse, named Sumac, reportedly went missing from a property in the 1900 block of Grafton Avenue the night of Feb. 15, according to Oceanside RCMP.

Sumac is described as a mixed breed, lightweight, chestnut-coloured riding horse and is 15.1 hands tall (approximately 6–7 feet). A horse’s height is measured in hands, from its shoulders, and each hand is four inches.

“The Oceanside RCMP would appreciate any information about where Sumac may be so police may continue with the investigation and determine the circumstances as to how Sumac went missing,” said Sgt. Shane Worth.

Anyone with information about where Sumac may be can contact the Oceanside RCMP.
