UPDATE: Qualicum Beach long-term care home COVID-19 outbreak declared over

Update:

The COVID-19 outbreak at the Gardens at Qualicum Beach long-term care home has been declared over by Island Health.

In total, 12 resident cases and seven staff cases were attributed to the outbreak, declared Jan. 28, which was limited to the facility’s Windsor Unit.

Three residents have tested positive for COVID-19 at the Gardens at Qualicum Beach long-term care home.

Island Health declared an outbreak at the facility’s Windsor Unit on Jan. 28, according to a media release.

The Gardens at Qualicum Beach is owned and operated by Trillium Communities.
