Outboard motor and power tools stolen from Parksville property — Oceanside Crime Report Jan. 16–22

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 234 complaints, including reports of catalytic converters stolen in Qualicum Beach, Parksville and Errington.

Found – Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular busies hours to claim.

-A red Apple iPhone was found in the area of the Qualicum Beach Civic Centre on Jan. 21.

Theft 

-A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the area of Alberni Highway and McLean Road, Qualicum Beach, on Jan. 17. Estimated damage $1,200.

-A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 800 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on Jan. 17.

-Binoculars, keys and a thermos were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Duggan Lane, Parksville, on Jan. 17.

-A vehicle was reported vandalized and a battery stolen in the 1100 block of Smithers Road, Parksville, on Jan. 17.

-A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle at the pull-out on Memorial Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on Jan. 17.

-An attempted theft of a catalytic converter was reported in the area of Virginia Road and Alberni highway, Parksville, on Jan. 18. 

-BC plate RA173F was reported stolen form a vehicle in the 1800 block of Alberni Highway, Coombs, on Jan. 18.

-An unknown amount of money was reported stolen from commercial washing machines in the 2700 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach, on Jan. 18.

-BC plate D71208 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Shearme Road, Coombs, on Jan. 18.

-A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 2200 block of Errington Road, Errington, on Jan. 18.

-A three horse power Mercury outboard motor, power tools, fishing lures and frozen food were reported stolen from a property in the 500 block of Sandlewood Drive, Parksville, on Jan. 18.

-Contents of a courier package were reported stolen in the 600 block of Wembley Road, Parksville on Jan. 19.

-BC plate MN129M was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Weld Street, Parksville, on Jan. 19.

-Contents of a storage locker were reported stolen in the 1700 block of Spirit Way, Qualicum Beach, on Jan. 19. Fourteen bags of sport jerseys, shoes, work boots and clothes were noted missing.

-BC plate LW341R was reported stolen from a vehicle in the area of Alberni Highway and Bellevue Road, Parksville, on Jan. 21.

-An Ozonator, a device used to sanitize rooms valued at $350, was reported stolen from a property in the 100 block of Beachside Drive, Parksville, on Jan. 21.

Vandalism

-A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 900 block of Fairdown Road, Parksville, on Jan. 18. The driver side window was noted broken.

-A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 3500 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach, on Jan. 19. Damage noted to driver’s door.

-A property was reported vandalized with a flower pot knocked over and a pest control trap set on fire in the 100 block of Island Highway East, Parksville on Jan. 20.

-A vehicle was reported vandalized in the 100 block of Island Highway East, Parksville on Jan. 22.

-A house was reported egged in the 500 block of Hazelwood Place, Qualicum Beach, on Jan. 22.

Prowler

-A prowler was reported in the 6000 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach, on Jan. 19. 

Fire

-A small fire was reported outside of a building in the 200 block of Hirst Avenue, Parksville, on Jan. 20. There was no damage to the building noted.
