The Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN) has announced it will be adding to its senior leadership team.
Lisa Grant will begin her tenure as general manager for planning and development on Feb. 22, according to a media release from the regional district.
“I am looking forward to bringing my skills and experience to the RDN and working with the Planning and Development team,” said Grant. “My family and I are eager to enjoy all the great benefits of island life.”
Grant brings 15 years of experience in the public sector, including her most recent role as director of development services with the City of Port Coquitlam. She has a Master of Planning from Dalhousie University and has worked for both municipal and regional district governments in B.C.
She will be using her experience and leadership skills to guide the department on its path of continuous improvement and building strong relationships with various partners in public service, according to the release.
“On behalf of the RDN, I am excited to welcome Ms. Grant to the RDN. She brings extensive experience to the planning and development portfolio, and we look forward to working with her,” said Douglas Holmes, RDN chief administrative officer. “I would also like to thank the planning and development team for their support during this time of transition.”
