Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance finding 74-year-old Perry Blois.

Multiple 911 calls were made from Blois’ cell phone around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 17, according to an RCMP media release.

Investigators managed to trace the calls to the area of downtown Nanaimo, but were unable to locate him. Police have also learned Blois has a significant speech and hearing impediment.

Blois was recently living in Victoria, but did reside in Nanaimo as of two years ago, according to RCMP. He has no known friends or family in the immediate area.

He is 6 ft.1, 180 lbs, with grey hair and hazel eyes. The picture provided is believed to be Blois but it has not been confirmed, according to police.

Anyone with information on Blois’ location can call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file #2022-1745.
