No injuries and six arrested following Nanaimo shots fired complaint

Six people are in police custody following a report of shots fired in Nanaimo. 

Police responded to a shots fired complaint around 6:40 a.m. this morning (Jan. 17) in the 300 block of Hillcrest Avenue. When RCMP entered the home, which is known to police, they found six people and arrested them, according to a media release by Nanaimo RCMP.

No injuries were reported, police said. RCMP secured the residence while investigators prepare a judicial authorization to allow officers to enter the home and search for evidence pertaining to the shooting.
