Vancouver Island University’s (VIU) Nanaimo campus, Cowichan campus, Powell River Campus, Parksville Centre and G.R. Paine Horticultural Centre closed today (Jan. 6) due to the severe weather.
VIU said, in a media release, it will provide an update later in the day regarding Friday (Jan. 7) classes.
The update will be sent out first through VIU’s Safety App and then information will be posted on its website, social media and via email.
The Nanaimo campus Library Commons will be open via card ID access only and residences remain open, according to VIU.
