The recent snowfalls have resulted in several cancelled curb side collection days in the Regional District of Nanaimo (RDN).

The most recent service interruption was today (Dec. 30), affecting residents in Errington (Electoral Area F) and the Town of Qualicum Beach, according to an RDN service alert.

“Over the coming days, we will continue to assess road conditions to restore collection service for affected residents,” the alert reads.

Service was also cancelled on Dec. 24 (mid-day), Dec. 28 and Dec. 29, according to the regional district.

Collection has been rescheduled as follows:

The RDN said it will continue to monitor road conditions and post more service alerts when necessary.

Residents are encouraged to sign up for service alert notifications by email, phone call or the “RDN Curbside” smart phone app.
