Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help locating 32-year-old Stephanie Thomas, who was reported missing Nov. 18.

Police investigators were told Thomas, last seen on Nov. 15, was acting strangely several days before she went missing and are concerned she may be experiencing a significant medical issue. Her family is concerned for her safety.

Thomas does not have a fixed address and does not carry a cell phone, according to RCMP. Police and community outreach workers have checked various emergency shelters and encampments in Nanaimo without success, according to an RCMP media release.

She is 5 ft. 7, 130 lbs with blonde hair, but is colouring it brown, police said. Thomas has a tattoo on her forearm which reads PRETEND YOU’RE CAMPING. RCMP said no clothing description is available. The picture provided of her is relatively recent.

Anyone with information about Thomas’ location can contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file #2021-42939.
