Parksville council has passed a motion to support the Parksville Museum’s application for provincial funding for expenses related to its annual Railway Day event.

Mayor Ed Mayne told council he already wrote a letter to support the museum’s application to the provincial government’s Fairs, Festivals and Events Recovery fund. He said he brought the motion forward to get formal council’s formal support.

Council unanimously approved Mayne’s motion during its Oct. 4 regular meeting.

The Railway Day event took place earlier this year on Aug. 21.
