The city has invited residents to join Parksville Mayor Ed Mayne for informal chats in his city hall office on select Wednesday afternoons.

The meetings are scheduled for Oct. 27, Nov. 17, Dec. 1 and Dec. 15 from 2–4 p.m.

The city said, in a release, it encourages residents to drop by City Hall’s administration department, on a first-come, first-served basis to talk with the mayor about ideas, concerns or suggestions. No appointment is necessary.

“I’m looking forward to meeting in person again and having the opportunity to answer questions and hear your ideas about our city. Subjects might range from community safety, housing, economic development, healthcare and recreation, just to name a few,” Mayne said.

When visiting City Hall, residents are expected to follow public health requirements:

  • Masks are mandatory when visiting the Parksville Civic and Technology Centre.
  • Please enter the building from Jensen Avenue only and visit the administration offices.
  • If you are not feeling well, stay home.
  • Please be patient as others may be waiting to chat with the mayor
