Prospective students will get a chance to speak with program chairs and take a video tour of the Deep Bay Marine Field Station during Vancouver Island University’s (VIU) virtual open house tomorrow (Oct. 2).
The free online event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to anyone interested in learning more about post-secondary education, including chatting one-on-one with recruiters, according to a release from the university.
The open house will feature online Q&A sessions by the engineering, science and technology and education programs, an information session for parents and mini lectures by the geography, anthropology and master of community planning departments.
International students will be able to learn more about what it’s like to live on Vancouver Island, accommodation options, immigration and admission requirements.
Participants can also enter to win prizes, including a $1,000 tuition credit prize for domestic students, according to the release.
