Arrowsmith Search and Rescue to hold open house this weekend

Arrowsmith Search and Rescue (ASAR) will host an open house in its new operations centre at Qualicum Beach Airport this weekend.

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and members of the public can check out live training demonstrations at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

ASAR plans on setting up ground search, rope rescue, water rescue, tracking and first aid displays. 

There will also be family friendly activities, information booths and a chance to meet ASAR’s new search dog, Envy.
