The Town of Qualicum Beach wants to know what residents think about allowing backyard poultry in residential areas.

It has launched a survey on the issue, which should take around 10-15 minutes.

The town recently concluded a three-year pilot project that permitted up to six backyard chickens or ducks in residential areas.

Council voted to end the project in March, but reconsidered the issue in July and decided to gather public opinion about permanently allowing backyard chickens.
