RCMP looking for witnesses after motorcycle stolen outside Nanaimo mall

The Nanaimo RCMP is looking for witnesses after a report of a suspect stealing a motorcycle from outside a mall.

Police said a male, of smaller stature, was seen by witnesses and CCTV riding away on a motorcycle through the parking lot of Country Club Mall between Best Buy and Great Canadian Oil Change at 5:15 p.m. on Sept. 15.

The bike is described as a black 2007 Suzuki DZR400 with a gold-coloured aftermarket exhaust, last seen bearing BC licence plate Z61385, according to RCMP.

Police ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information to contact the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file # 2021-34966.
