Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s help locating 26-year-old Brody David of Nanaimo, who has not been heard from since he left his north Nanaimo home on Aug. 26.

David lives with his mother and has a significant medical condition which requires medication to control and monitor. For this reason, his family and investigators are worried about his safety and well-being, according to a media release by Const. Gary O’Brien, media relations officer for Nanaimo RCMP.

David walks daily and has been known to go as far as Errington and Nanoose. Police said the picture provided is several years old. He is 5 ft.6, 150 lbs and has very short brown hair and green eyes. David was last seen wearing a green hoody, dark blue pants and slip-on white and black shoes. Police said he left home carrying a new black sleeping bag.

“It is thought that he may be staying in the bush. David is approachable and does not pose a risk to the general public,” reads the release.

Anyone with knowledge of David’s location can call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at (250) 754-2345, and quote file #2021-32693.
