Oceanside residents can get their first or second COVID-19 dose today (Aug. 24) without an appointment, when Island Health’s Vax Van stops in Coombs.
The mobile clinic will be set up from 1–6 p.m. at the Coombs Gas Bar – Petro Can at 2484 Alberni Highway, according to Island Health.
Residents 12 and older can receive a first dose, or a second dose if it has been at least 28 days since their first shot.
The van will move on to Port Alberni tomorrow, where it will set up outside Canadian Tire and offer first and second doses from 1–6 p.m. Aug. 25-26.
