A public hearing for a proposed 16-lot subdivision at 850 Eaglecrest Drive has been postponed by the developers. A second public hearing was set to be held today (July 7) for a zoning and official community plan (OCP) amendment on the property.
A public hearing was already conducted earlier this year, but a new one was necessary due to new information regarding the town’s community amenity contribution.
An independent review of the land lift analysis for the property estimated the land is worth between $320,000 and $640,000 with current zoning and could be worth between $2.2–2.5 million after rezoning. This means the town could receive between $780,000 and $1 million for a CAC, based on current policy.
A new date has not been set for a public hearing. The choice to postpone was made by the developers and announced the day before the hearing. Linda Todsen, of Todsen Design and Construction, said in an email to Oceanside News, she is not willing to share reasons for the changes at this time.
