On scene paramedics said nobody was injured. A witness and paramedics said there were explosions coming from the locker.
Two storage units were destroyed and a third was damaged, according to Nanoose Fire Chief Doug Penny.
“Due to early detection of nearby residents, we were able to save most of the building. Approximately 30 per cent of the building was lost,” Penny said in an email to Oceanside News. “We were also protecting a nearby building from exposure as well.”
He said the fire is currently under investigation.
