The gravel parking lots on Jensen Avenue between Craig Street and the Alberni Highway in Parksville will be closed April 29–30 for geotechnical testing.

The city property is in the process of being sold and the testing will be done as part of due diligence by the purchaser, according to the City of Parksville. The property is being considered for development by Vertafile Systems Incorporated.

Signs will be posted in advance and the lot will be unavailable for two days.

The Island Health vaccination clinic is operating from the Parksville Community Centre (PCC) and parking in the PCC lot is limited to those with vaccination appointments, the city said.
