Thieves take hot water tank, wakeboard, laptops — Oceanside Crime Report March 21–27

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP said it received 269 complaints.  

Break and Enter

-An iPad and liquor were reported stolen in a business break and enter in the 500 block of Lowrys Road, Parksville, on March 24.

-A break and enter of a utility trailer was reported in the 400 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on March 25. Three laptops and two metal detectors were noted missing.

-A residential break and enter was reported in the 100 block of Cameron Lake, Cathedral Grove, on March 27. A hot water tank and a 1000w Motormaster inverter were some of the items missing.

-A residential break and enter was reported in the 100 block of Cameron Lake, Cathedral Grove, on March 26. A solar inverter and a blue wakeboard were some of the items noted missing.

-A utility trailer was reported broken into in the 200 block of Corfield Street North, Parksville, on March 24. The interior was ransacked however nothing was noted missing.

-A travel trailer was reported broken into in the 1100 block of Ruffles Road, Parksville, on March 22. There was damage noted to the door.

-Two unlocked vehicles were reported rummaged through in the 100 block of Denman Drive, Qualicum Beach, on March 22.

Theft

-An outdoor heater and propane tank were reported stolen in the 2700 block of Andys Lane, Nanoose Bay, on March 22.

-BC plates CB2563 were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Islewood Drive, Bowser, on March 21. 

-BC plate 013NBN was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Garden Road West, Qualicum Beach, on March 25.

-Four snow tires and steel rims were reported stolen in the 2000 block of Grafton Avenue, Coombs, on March 25.

Found

-A Samsung tablet was found in the area of Fern Road and Memorial Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on March 23. Contact Oceanside RCMP during regular business hours to claim.

Vandalism

-A vehicle door handle was reported vandalized in the 3200 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach, on March 26.

Prowlers

-A prowler was reported looking into vehicles in the 200 block of Dunbar Way, Parksville, on March 21.

-Prowlers were reported in the 500 block of Grovehill Road, Qualicum Beach, on March 27.
