The city will be making some changes to Shelley Creek Park, based on survey input from neighbourhood residents.

Most of the playground equipment will be replaced with a new updated play area and a picnic table and benches will be installed, the city said. The playground’s existing swing set will remain in place.

Residents told the city children’s play equipment (78 per cent), benches and tables (47 per cent) and accessibility (32 per cent) were their priorities for the space.

Removal of existing playground equipment will start the week of April 6 with installation scheduled for the week of April 19.
