The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance locating a woman who has not been seen since March 25.

Police said Claudette Boulianne, 53, was reported missing on March 29 by a family member.

Investigators discovered Boulianne had told her family she would be traveling to Courtenay for a day trip, but she did not return as expected.

RCMP said her disappearance is out of character and her family is worried for her safety and well-being.

Boulianne is 5 ft. 8, slim build, with brown hair and hazel eyes. The picture provided is recent.

She was last seen wearing a grey sweater, brown t-shirt and multi-coloured spandex pants. Investigators have confirmed Boulianne travelled with a friend to Courtenay on March 25 and arrived there at approximately 6 p.m.

If anyone has information on the whereabouts of Claudette Boulianne, they can call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file # 2021-11180.
