Public parking at the Parksville Community Centre (PCC) will temporarily be limited to COVID-19 immunization clinic traffic, according to the city.

“Due to the expected high volume of vehicles and pedestrians using the Parksville Community Centre, no other public parking can be accommodated in this area while the clinic is active,” reads a news release from the city.

The COVID vaccination clinic operated by Island Health will run from March 15 through September. Island Health said it expects the clinic will be operational twelve hours a day, seven days a week.

Additional accessible parking has been added to the east side of the PCC building and parking for Island Health and the Parksville Civic and Technology Centre (PCTC) staff has been designated. The city added questions about vaccinations should be directed to Island Health.
