Nanaimo RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance locating 35-year-old Shannon Lettington.

Last October all communications between Lettington and her family stopped, which police said was considered out of character.

Nanaimo RCMP said it was contacted by her family on March 4 for assistance finding her and determining her well-being.

Lettington has no fixed address and has been known to stay at homeless encampments in Nanaimo, according to police. RCMP said all transition shelters in Nanaimo and many of the encampments have been checked.

Lettington is 5 ft. 0, 100 lbs with brown hair and hazel eyes. The picture provided was taken within the last year.

Anyone with information on her location can call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345, and quote file 2021-7423.
