Nanaimo RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance identifying a man and woman who allegedly stole a set of walkie-talkies and headset, valued at $140.

Police were called by a Cabela’s loss prevention officer who witnessed the incident around 5 p.m. on Feb. 4. He said he reviewed the surveillance video and saw the couple place the items in the woman’s purse.

The two then walked out of the store without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise, according to RCMP.

Anyone with information on the identify of the two people can call the Nanaimo RCMP non-emergency line at 250-754-2345 and quote file # 2021-4410.
