The City of Parksville has put out a request for proposal to fill two concession spaces at the community park.

It hopes to focus on locally grown and nutritious food to provide concession services, according to Deb Tardiff, manager of communication for the city.

Applicants may submit proposals for one or both of the pads for either the summer season or off-season, Tardiff said in a news release.

Successful contractors for the summer season would operate from May 1–Sept. 30. The contracts will be on a one-year term with potential to renew.

Contractors in the off-season would operate from Oct. 1 – April 30, the city said.

Tardiff said applicants wishing to occupy both spaces must submit separate proposals. Applications will be accepted until Feb. 26.
