Stolen licence plates and attempts to break and enter — Oceanside crime report Jan. 10 – 16

During this time period the Oceanside RCMP received 220 complaints.  

Break and Enter

-An attempted business break-and-enter was reported in the 1000 block of Bellevue Road, Parksville, on Jan. 11. There was damage to an exterior door.

-An attempted business break-and-enter was reported in the 1000 block of Allsbrook Road, Parksville, on Jan. 11. There was damage to an external fence.

-An attempted business break-and-enter was reported in the 100 block of Craig Street, Parksville on Jan. 15. A glass door was smashed that set off an audible alarm. Nothing was reported missing.

Theft

-A light green 15 speed road bike was reported stolen in the 200 block of Island Highway West, Parksville, on Jan. 12.

-B.C. plate NM8617 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of Island highway East, Parksville, on Jan. 12.

-Two vehicle batteries were reported stolen from a business in the 800 block of Allsbrook Road, Parksville, on Jan. 13.

-B.C. plate PT7333 was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Herring Gull Way, Parksville, on Jan. 14.

-A battery from a wall mounted security light was reported stolen in the 100 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on Jan. 14.

-A prowler was reported in the 100 block of Magnolia Drive, Parksville, on Jan. 12.

Theft from Unlocked Vehicles

-An unlocked vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 200 block of Judges Row, Qualicum Beach, on Jan. 15.

-Cash was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of Park View Avenue, Parksville on Jan. 14.

-A number of items were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of Morison Avenue, Parksville, on Jan. 15.
