Emergency Management Oceanside (EMO) will host virtual emergency preparedness meetings on Zoom this month.

There are two sessions, each an hour long, with spots remaining on Jan. 21 at 10 a.m. and Jan. 27 at 2 p.m. The meetings will be hosted by Rob Daman, emergency program coordinator for the Town of Qualicum Beach and Aaron Dawson, emergency program coordinator for the City of Parksville. The Jan. 13 session is full.

Anyone interested in participating can email info@emergencyoceanside.ca and specify which date is preferred. EMO will send Zoom instructions by email a few days before the meeting.

EMO said participants require a computer with internet connection, but not necessarily a camera or microphone.

Participants who have questions or specific subjects for discussion are encouraged to send those by email as well.

For more information, residents can contact Daman at rdaman@qualicumbeach.com or Dawson at adawson@parksville.ca.
