A case of COVID-19 was confirmed at Kwalikum Secondary School (KSS), according to a letter from Dr. Keven Elder, superintendent of schools.

The individual last attended the school on Nov. 19 and public health staff are completing contact tracing to identify anyone who needs to self-isolate, according to the letter.

“Anyone who has not received a phone call from public health officials is asked to continue to attend school and to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms as per BCCDC guidelines noted in the daily health check form,” reads the letter.

The school said it can not give out any further details due to privacy concerns.
