Oceanside RCMP received 269 complaints between Oct. 11 and Oct. 17. Police ask anyone who has info on these incidents to phone the Oceanside RCMP non-emergency number at 250-248-6111.

Vehicle Theft

Stolen Vehicle (File # 2020-10605)

A vehicle was reported stolen in the 200 block of Fourth Avenue West, Qualicum Beach, on Oct. 13. The damaged vehicle was later recovered in Nanaimo and a suspect was arrested.

Stolen Dirt Bike Recovered (File # 2020-10568)

A report of an abandoned vehicle resulted in the recovery of a dirt bike stolen from Port Alberni at the 400 block of Moilliet Street South, Parksville, on Oct. 12.

Theft and Damage

Business Break-In (File # 2020-10662) 

A business break-and-enter was reported in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue, Qualicum Beach, on Oct. 14. Glass display cases, display shelves and file cabinets were damaged.

Stolen Auto Parts (File # 2020-10649) 

Auto parts were reported stolen from a business in the600 block of Island Highway East, Parksville, on Oct. 14. The stolen materials were recovered and returned.

Vehicle and Window Damage (File # 2020-10638) 

A vehicle and building windows were reported damaged by a truck doing donuts in the 5900 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach, on Oct. 14. Video surveillance was provided to Oceanside RCMP.

Stolen Recycle Bins (File # 2020-10710) 

A business break-and-enter was reported in the3700 block of Fairwinds Drive, Nanoose Bay, on Oct. 16. A hole was cut in a fence and recycling containers were stolen.

Damaged Surveillance Camera (File # 2020-10551)

A surveillance camera was reported damaged in the 100 block of Corfield Street, Parksville, on Oct. 11. A suspect was identified and arrested.

Stolen Election Signs File 2020-10737: 

A candidate’s election signs were reported stolen in the area from Northwest Bay Road and Island Highway East, Nanoose Bay, on Oct. 16.

Concrete Barriers removed File 2020-10781

Concrete block barriers were illegally removed at Highway 19 and Corcan Road, Qualicum Beach, on Oct. 17.

Bike Theft

Bike Stolen File 2020-10777

A green Marin 11 speed bicycle valued at $4,000 was reported stolen in the 700 block of Primrose Street, Qualicum Beach, on Oct. 17.

Stolen Bicycle (File # 2020-10692) 

A black specialized Cross Trail Sport 24 speed bicycle valued at $1,000 was reported stolen in the 2500 block of Outrigger Road, Nanoose Bay, on Oct. 15.

Stolen Bike File 2020-10764

A green Cannondale mountain bike with neon green pedals was reported stolen in the area of 1100 block of Resort Drive, Parksville, on Oct. 17. 

Vehicle Break-Ins

Cleaning Supplies Stolen From Unlocked Vehicle (File # 2020-10727)

Two Bissell carpet cleaning machines valued at $422 were reported stolen, along with money w from an unsecured vehicle in the 200 block of Moilliet Street South, Parksville, on Oct. 16. 

Car Break-In (File # 2020-10574) 

A purse left on the front seat of a vehicle was reported stolen in the 300 block of Judges Row, Qualicum Beach, on Oct. 12. Entry was gained by smashing a window. RCMP investigation resulted in a suspect being arrested.

Broken Car Windows (File 2020-10767)

Two vehicles had their windows broken and a third vehicle reported rummaged through in the 300 block of Wembley Road, Parksville, on Oct. 17.

Wrenches Stolen From Car (File 2020-10729)

A set of Craftsman wrenches were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 300 block of Morison Avenue, Parksville, on Oct. 16.

Car Camera Hard Drive Stolen (File 2020-10774) 

The hard drive from a car camera was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of McVickers Street, Parksville on Oct. 17.

Stolen Propane Tank (File # 2020-10617)

A propane tank was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 5300 block of Island Highway West, Qualicum Beach, on Oct. 13.

Purse Theft (File # 2020-10712) 

A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 200 block of Stanford Avenue West, Parksville, on Oct. 16. A subject was identified and arrested.

Stolen Purse (File # 2020-10565)

A purse containing a wallet was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 500 block of Stanford Ave. E in Parksville on Oct. 12. There was no damage to the vehicle.

Purse Stolen From Car (File # 2020-10658) 

A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 800 block of Kazan Avenue, Parksville, on Oct. 14. There was no damage to vehicle.

Stolen Change (File # 2020-10713) 

Change was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 500 block of Rowan Avenue, Parksville, on Oct. 16.

Vehicle Rummaged Through — Nothing Stolen (File # 2020-10660) 

A vehicle was reported rummaged through in the 200 block of Dogwood Street, Parksville, on Oct 14. There was no damage and nothing reported stolen.

Unlocked Vehicle Rummaged through (File # 2020-10586)

An unlocked vehiclewas reported rummaged through in the 600 block of Blenkin Avenue, Parksville, on Oct. 12. Nothing was reported missing.

Unlocked Vehicle Rummaged Through (File # 2020-10716) 

An unlocked vehicle was rummaged through in the 200 block of McVickers Street, Parksville, on Oct. 16.

Car Change Stolen (File # 2020-10722) 

Change was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 100 block of Ballenas Place, Parksville, on Oct. 16.

Sunglasses Stolen Unlocked Car (File # 2020-10728)

A pair of sunglasses were reports stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Bagshaw Street, Parksville, on Oct. 16.

Theft From Unlocked Vehicle (File # 2020-10769) 

Beats headphones, RayBan sunglasses and a change were some of the items reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of McVickers Street, Parksville, on Oct. 17.

Attempted Vehicle Break-In (File # 2020-10576) 

A vehicle window was reported damaged in the 900 block of Royal Dornoch Drive, Qualicum Beach, on Oct. 12. Entry was not gained into vehicle.
