Nanaimo RCMP looking for suspect in stolen truck incident

Police said Jason Klughart stole a Ford F-150 truck from a parking stall at Harbor Air Sea Planes on Aug. 28.

Nanaimo RCMP have issued a warrant for a 29-year-old man for possession of stolen property over $5,000. Police said Jason Klughart stole a Ford F-150 truck from a parking stall at Harbor Air Sea Planes on Aug. 28.

The vehicle was recovered later the same day parked at the Port Place Mall. Investigators reviewed video surveillance from the mall and observed Klughart driving the vehicle to the mall, then walking away. He was arrested later the same day and a search of his clothing at the time of his arrest located the keys to the stolen truck, police said.

Klughart is a Caucasian male, 5 ft. 10, 160 lbs, with brown hair, green eyes and has no fixed address. He has a scar on his right hand and a tattoo of a cross on his upper right arm.
