The Nanaimo RCMP is asking for public assistance in locating a 32-year-old man who has not been seen since March 2020.

Sidney Joseph Mantee’s family, who reside in Saskatchewan, contacted the Nanaimo RCMP to express concern for him. They told investigators the lack of contact from Mantee is out of character and they are concerned for his well-being, according to Const. Gary O’Brien, media relations officer for Community Policing Services Nanaimo.

Mantee resided on Rosehill St. in Nanaimo and had mentioned he may move to Victoria, police said. RCMP said he does not use social media.

Mantee is 5 ft.11, 180 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes.

The picture provided was taken within the last year.
